I heard developers try and make games where you actually have to make the moves or actions that a character in a game does, in order to control him/her/it. I think it is a crap idea, because people who play computer games (such as me) are often lazy and only do this kind of stuff in games because we're crap at it in real life. I also don't think people should look perfect in games. Instead of creating better graphics the should worry more about playability, and as long as that isn't effected by graphics they should just use a more basic person than a perfect one. The only thing that annoyed me with lack of graphics was on the N64, where only one game managed to show an in-game explosion (Out of those that I own, that is) and that's 007: The World Is Not Enough. The rest of the games just used fireballs, which annoyed me.

Good point...actually I'm not sure about your point. Are you saying Game Realism is a bad idea, or updating graphics is a bad idea? Anyway, i think game realism is a bad idea too, it'd probably be easier with games like Halo [except for when you gotta jump as an Elite ], but then games like Dead or Alive 3 would be pretty hard to do...and about graphics, i don't mind them being updated but it seems to be the most important of a feature these day's. The developers need to concentrate more on the game itself, as you said. I also think that games these day's need to be longer...i mean there is nothing like playing a game all day and getting sad it's coming to an end, then saving...'Your curent progress is 6%' WICKED!!! Even though i don't play games that much...but yeah, I can imagine. Some developers also concentrate too much on the little things, not that little things aren't important, but as Matt said on the APK Fable had trees that grew over time...which isn't really that important. I also think the idea of having tons of places to explore is important. I hate playing a game where your walking around a never-ending plain, and then your just stopped by some random invisible barrier...grr. I like the game Ninja Gaiden in the way it doesnt do that...it's limited, but in it's limits it's unlimited...if that makes sense. It's kinda lie it doesn't have some stupid invisible barrier, there's actually a wall there, but it's not some random wall, it's actually there for a meaning... Halo did that pretty impressivelyt aswell, I guess it would be easy considering the planet was built, and there could be walls anywhere...which is a good game idea...make something human built so noone can bag you for barriers being where they're not supposed to be, and by the way, I'm pretty sure that 007: Goldeneye had explosions aswell...or it could've been a fireball, I'm not sure, i guess i didn't pay too mcuh attention.Just to make a note about what i said above, they should probably slow down with the graphic's in games...I mean they're reaching their limits, and people will keep expecting more. Another thing that's pissing me off about graphics is the realistic part of it. Incase you don't know what I'm talking about, bloody sex appeal is taking over gaming aswell, I mean c'mon, A FRICKIN PLAYBOY MANSION GAME!!! WHAT IS THIS?!?!?! In conclusion, graphics are good, but the whole sex appeal pisses me off, it's already taken over music, which is the most important thing in my world, and now all i can see is some stupid fake chick shaking her ass in my face. GRR!!! The developers are so far good with keeping games good, but if that stops, the screw gaming, i'll live without!!! Woah, this is big, possibly the biggest i've ever made. Woah that's impressive!!!

I'll agree with you. when i saw playboy: the mansion i thought what the f**k?. i rather The using graphics for game play, like in splinter cell if the they didn't have such good lightings the game wouldn't work. but i don't like the focusing on graphics instead of game play.

They need to do something intelligent, it's called summoning a few 14-18 year olds into the their labs, and see what we want!!!

if those who went had useful ideas it would be good, however if they had those people looking over the project saying what was good and bad it would be better

not just game realism but they should also limit the games
that are m15+ to kids, my 11 year old cousin plays manhunt
and they wonder why kids have got social and
communicational issues between one another.

Lol true, that does rest with the parent and guardian though, I mean they can always get an older friend to buy it for them, but if they sit in the living room suffocating people with plastic bags while their mum walks past, then it's not anyones fault but theirs.

i totally agree but the way that the media's idolistic
messages do say alot that the kids are also at fault not so
much as the parent but i agree with what you are saying
and his first real movie he whatched was fight club.

kids also have too many rights these days and they know them, u can get some sh*t kids that will do anything and the parent has no control or form of disciplen that the kid will obey, especially since they can't smack their own children, some of this may be caused by games and movies beyond them but some have bad influence from elsewhere and if they want something they will probably get it even if they aren't allowed

are at the moment.

i really don't think the should ban any games. i still like Mario 1 on Nintendo it has crap graphics and i haven't finished it because it is long and it pre-dates game saves making it a lot harder you die once you start rom the start not last checkpoint. and parent should check the rating and not just complain that they are getting violent or different when a 6 year old kid is playing an MA15+ game

manhunt is a very realistic game (now banned) you can't take on more than 1 person or you'll have the crap beaten out of you and it was good, but i had a Bali copy which screwed up

yeh but that not likely, and refering to manhunt i dont know why they ban games it's stupid, why not increase the rating to R if they dont want it bought by younger kids
